NFF to announce new manager on Monday
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Committee has explained the procedure for the recruitment of a new coach for the Super Eagles, who will be announced on Monday.
The NFF saddled the technical committee with the responsibility of screening and selecting a new coach for the senior national team.

Speaking with The Guardian yesterday, a member of the Technical Committee, Christian Chukwu, said the selection was done after a thorough scrutiny of the credentials submitted by the candidates, who include Paul Le Guen of France, Nigeria’s Salisu Yusuf and Tom Saintfiet.

He said the committee sent questionnaires to the foreign coaches, after which their responses were collated and forwarded to the executive board of the federation for the final decision on which of the trio would be chosen for the national team. He noted that the decision on the Eagles’ boss from the three shortlisted candidates rests on the NFF board.
He said: “The NFF Technical Committee has finished all the process needed to get a coach for the Eagles. We sent questions to the foreign coaches and they have responded to these questions.
“Our recommendations have been sent to the federation. The power lies on the board to make their final choice. The successful coach will be announced on Monday. Part of the decision reached by the committee is that the new coach must work with an indigenous assistant to help him get used to Nigerian terrain.
“If he decides to get his own coach, then the bills must come from him. Also, the Eagles already have a team on ground, so if the new coach is satisfied with the players, he will work with them. But if the reverse is the case, the coach will fashion out procedures to get his own players.
“I want to assure Nigerians that all the recommendations by the technical committee was done without sentiments. We have finished our assignment.”
