Marco Kwiotek, a goalkeeper who plays for German lower league club SV
Vonderort was arrested at the team’s training ground about 30 miles
north of Dusseldorf in Bottrop, just five days after he allowed 43 goals
in one match.
According to The Sun UK, as Armed police acccompanied Kwiotek, 25, off
the pitch after arresting him, the keeper hollered to his teammates that
the cops “just want to clear some things up,”
The police declined to comment on the reason for the arrest while
another report said Kwiotek was released almost immediately after he was
taken in for questioning.
