Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has approved the appointment of Dayo Apata, as the new Solicitor General of the Federation.
This was confirmed in a statement released on Friday.
Apata served as the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary of the
Ministry of Justice in Ekiti between 2010 and 2014, when Kayode Fayemi
was Governor.
He was born on June 25 ,1961 and attended the Polytechnic, Ibadan,
Oyo state, where he sat for and passed University of Cambridge higher
school local examination in 1980.
He proceeded to the University of Ibadan, where he joined the first
set of Law graduates in 1984, before he was called to the Nigerian Bar
in 1985.
Apata had served in various legal units of the Nigeria Customs Service and Federal Civil Service since then.
