The Oyinbo doing the negotiation from his car
A
foreigner in Nigeria has developed adaptability skills to cope with the
unregulated local market as he could be seen speaking in fluent pidgin
to boost his price bargain activity.
A middle-class foreigner was recorded on video actively haggling over the price of bananas from street sellers.
The man showed what could be referred to as 'street credibility' in
bargaining for a fair price. The man appears to have stayed so long in
Nigeria that he has developed a Nigerian accent.
It appears the man could be a Lebanese who has lived in Nigeria for
years. It was all fun as he bought some bunches of bananas from the
road side sellers with some groundnuts.
The video of the the transaction is gaining rapt attention on social media as Nigerians express utmost surprise.
