NY Police Responding to Reports of Explosion

New York police are responding to reports of an explosion near the Port Authority Bus Terminal Monday morning.

The NYPD is responding to reports of an explosion of unknown origin at 42nd Street and 8th Ave, #Manhattan. The A, C and E line are being evacuated at this time. Info is preliminary, more when available. pic.twitter.com/7vpNT97iLC

Citing police sources, local news reported at least one injury, and that one suspect is in police custody.
Early reports suggest the blast was caused by a pipe bomb.

 Three subway lines in the area are being evacuated, and a number of other lines are bypassing the 42nd street stop, which is in the heart of Manhattan's Time Square - a popular destination among tourists.
