Former Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on New
Media, Reno Omokri, says President Muhammadu Buhari labelled Vice
President Yemi Osinbajo, ‘Coordinator of National Affairs’ because the
latter “outshined” Buhari last time he travelled to London on medical
vacation.
DAILY POST reports that content of Buhari’s letter read by President
of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, at the plenary on Tuesday, has come under
condemnations.
Buhari’s letter informing the legislature of his medical vacation in
the United Kingdom, read: “In compliance with Section 145 (1) of the
1999 Constitution (as amended), I wish to inform the distinguished
Senate that I will be away for a scheduled medical follow-up with my
doctors in London. The length of my stay will be determined by the
doctor’s advice.
“While I am away, the Vice President will coordinate the activities
of the government. Please accept, the distinguished Senate President,
the assurances of my highest consideration.”
Remo Omokri bared his mind via his Twitter account @renoomokri.
He tweeted: “Our constitution was not made by President Buhari.
President Buhari was made by our constitution and must be subject to it
President or not!
“Where are constitutional lawyers? Please proceed to court to stop
this nonsense? Coordinator of National Affairs is not in our
constitution!
“I think @MBuhari was not happy@ProfOsinbajo good performance outshined him last time, hence this Coordinator of National Affairs business!
“Thank God for the girls release, but they look more like they came
out from a Calabar fattening room than as if they left Boko Haram’s
lair.
“What can one even say when a Presidential spokesman praises Boko
Haram for looking after Chibok girls well! What can I say? I’m
speechless!”
