There was panic today in Owerri, Imo state capital
as a three-storey building beside popular Newton hotel located along the
Umuguma hospital road still under construction collapsed in the early
hours of today.
The building collapsed around 12am.
According to reports, the collapse was so bad that the building didn’t just collapse but most of the building sank into the ground. It was gathered that the uncompleted collapsed building which was at the roofing stage was under the supervision of a foreigner .
The site has already been sealed off by the Imo state government.
