Ifeanyi Ubah
Shrewd businessman Ifeanyi Ubah is learning the hard way that football
business is a different game from oil business. Series of events that
unfolded in the past few weeks show that indeed, Ubah lacks the virtue
to accept football defeat in good spirit. It all started a fortnight ago
when his team, Ifeanyi Ubah FC lost to Sharks FC in Port Harcourt in a
Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Their loss didn’t augur well with the businessman and he immediately
ordered them to return to base that night. Apparently, former Super
Eagles player and ex-coach of the team, Daniel Amokachi was unwilling to
risk his life. But Ubah will have none of that. He insisted that they
return. This inadvertently led to the former resigning.
Following his footsteps is Sani Kaita who dumped the team due to a
breach of contract to join Kano Pillars. By sheer luck, Ifeanyi Ubah FC
was able to draw with Kano Pillars in a recent match.
But the team supporters however became violent after the match. All
this signals that Ubah in all his business glory can hardly take the
hard punches of the field.
Nevertheless, he is quick to use his business skills when necessary as
in the case of Sani Kaita. He is demanding the sum of N3M from Kano
Pillars as transfer fee for the player.
Dakuku,Danagogo’s Loyalists Clash
A bloody clash was recently averted at a social function in Abonnema, Rivers State between supporters of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Dakuku Peterside and loyalists of former Sports Minister, Tamuno Danagogo. Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Felix Obuah in the state had already taken his seat when Dakuku arrived with his entourage. He went round acknowledging greetings from associates. Many were unsure of what he would do next, but on sighting Obuah, he went over to him and both men hugged themselves and back-slapped each other. Not too long after, Danagogo entered the arena. His visit was brief. He would later invite a few dignitaries including Obuah and Dakuku to come over to his residence in the vicinity for entertainment. In the course of this show of courtesy and goodwill by Danagogo, Dakuku’s men were told that they could not wave the APC flag in Danagogo’s house.
The attempt to take down the APC flag by force nearly led to an ugly
situation. But for the quick intervention of the two principals, Dakuku
and Danagogo who hastily put their session of merriment on hold, the
state-of-affairs was moving towards total breakdown of law and order.
Their intervention forced their supporters to beat a retreat from
violent acts. The PDP supporters were heard openly accusing Dakuku of
“always moving around the state with an entourage in an arrogant manner
as if he is the Governor of the state.” They said, Dakuku was recently
politely declined entry to a soiree in Port Harcourt for fear that his
presence could lead fracas with certain leading personalities in the
state PDP who were also at the party.

Ifeoma Obianodo to Return on Social Scene at Daughter’s Traditional Wedding
After spending few weeks abroad, the wife of the CEO of Young Shall Grow Motors is set to return to the social scene. Ifeoma has been missing in action since her obesity issues. She was flown abroad few months ago to get rid of the excess fat in her body. She returned recently looking all well and fit.
Staying strict to her doctor’s advice, Ifeoma is doing all she can to
stay in form. She only eats fruits and in small amounts. Her body is
slowly recuperating from the surgery. Notwithstanding, Ifeoma is set to
return to the social scene next month. Her daughter, Cynthia will be
having her traditional marriage on October 3, 2015. The only daughter of
her parents, Cynthia got engaged to TV personality and former Big
Brother Africa contestant, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu few months ago. Being the
only daughter of her family, her parents had expected Cynthia to be
married off to the family’s circle of wealthy friends but the Human
Resources Manager instead opt to follow her heart which led her to the
gentle arms of Ebuka. Nevertheless, the parents are fully behind her
back in her marriage. Ifeoma is leaving no stone unturned as the day
draws near. It is one day that she can’t afford anything to go awry. She
is currently getting all her friends to buy the asoebis which ranges
from 25,000-35,000 naira.
Elohor Aisien Dazzles
Few months after the news of her break-up with her husband Owen Aisien broke, former Miss Nigeria UK and CEO of the Beth Modelling Agency, Elohor Aisien is still holding her head up high. Aware of the wagging tongues trailing behind this new development, Aisien refused to give her detractors the pleasure to mock her. At the recently held grand finale of the Aquafina Elite Model Look, she stunned her guests with the ease she went about her work. Rocking a floor length blue gown with a touch of other colours, she welcomed her guests, plant a kiss on a cheek here and embrace another there. There was no hint that the mother of one is overwhelmed by her marriage break-up. Owen and Elohor had gone separate ways when the news speculated that Owen impregnated two other women. The shrewd business woman and helmsman of the Elite Model Look in Nigeria could hardly tolerate the insolence of her husband. She barely blinked twice as she showed Owen the door and locked it firmly.
