Troops
along Damboa -Chibok axis has arrested 43 persons, who are said to be
unknown vigilante with Ak-47 riffles during an ongoing operations in the
area.
Operation Lafiya Dole, Media Coordinator, Col. Mustapha Anka said, those arrested includes one who claimed to be the Village Head of Kopchi.
According to Col. Anka, they claimed to be operating around Madagali general area, but were carrying 6 AK-47 riffles and 15 Magazines.
"When accosted the suspects claimed that they were in Damboa to identify a suspected Boko Haram Terrorist in Kaya village, but seen with Ak-47 riffles, they are suspected to be BHT trying to disguise and they were arrested and currently in custody undergoing interrogation." Col. Mustapha Anka said.
In another development, Troops of 25 Task Force on routine operation to clear Ajigin had contact with Boko Haram Terrorists, in the process several insurgents were killed, 50 motorcycles and 3 vehicles were recovered and destroyed.
