Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh was yesterday “rebuked” by the executive committee of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), for “his unwarranted statements unbecoming of a national team Coach in both regular and social media.”

Oliseh’s recent YouTube attack raised serious dust within the Nigerian football family. At the end of the NFF executive committee meeting yesterday in Abuja, the body reviewed the outing of the Super Eagles at the recently concluded CHAN in Rwanda and the events that followed, and rebuked Oliseh for his outburst.
Though the NFF acknowledged Oliseh’s apology, but made it clear that similar infractions by the coach would not be tolerated in future.
The NFF decided that Coach Oliseh MUST henceforth report to the NFF General Secretary and the Technical and Development Committee, and should be ready to defend his entire program before the Committee, including invitation of players and training programs.
Meanwhile, the NFF reconstituted the technical crew of the U-20 National Team, Flying Eagles with erstwhile U-17 Head Coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, appointed heads of the U-20 team with Kabiru Baleria and Emeka Amadi as Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Trainer respectively.

Omagbemi will head the crew in the acting capacity in the meantime.
The backroom staff of the various national teams will be reconstituted immediately, with the exception of the Super Eagles.
