The Julie Donli Kidney Foundation, a
non-governmental organisation (NGO), has bemoaned the huge spending on
kidney transplant and dialysis treatment by Nigerians in India every
year.
The foundation therefore advised the
federal government to improve the capacity of government hospitals with
regards to treatment of kidney infections.
Founder of the organisation, Julie Donli, made the remark on Friday in Abuja during an awareness walk to the National Assembly (NASS) to mark World Kidney Day.

She said patients struggling with kidney disease spends about $500 million for kidney transplant annually in India.
