Biafra News: Why we launched Operation David Dance –IPOB

Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), a pro- Biafra group, has stated that they launched Operation David Dance “to be on the safe side in our land.” Spokesman for the group, Emma Powerful, in a statement pointed out that: “IPOB is a properly organised group that is ordained by God Almighty, who is in heaven and has been directing the project and our leader, Prophet Nnamdi Kanu.

Powerful further noted that everybody knows that the leadership of IPOB had advised its members not to fall victims in the hands of Goliath’s soldiers called ‘Operation Python Dancers.’
He stated that even in the Bible everyone knows what God Almighty, the living God did to Goliath of Philistine at the battle front where David danced with his own soldiers. “David danced with the help of God Almighty who ordained him to fulfill his project which Nnamdi Kanu is doing today for the people of Biafra.
“King David also danced when he was praying to God Almighty who gave him the power to overcome Goliath in the battle field and that prayer was his weapon which he used to conquer him.
“The Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB worldwide and its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, are ordained by God Almighty, Chukwu Okike Abiama, who never fails to give IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu power to overcome Nigeria and their soldiers. He will not fail to disgrace Nigeria and their operation python dancers.
“IPOB doesn’t want confrontation with the soldiers known as Operation Python Dancers because we have taken our petitions to God Almighty, the Chukwu Okike Abiama, whom we serve the way David, did to God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob against Goliath, and God Almighty answered his prayers.
“We are aware that people are asking questions about the meaning of Operation David Dance, this is to let everybody and elders in Biafra land know and rise to the occasion and pick some little sand in your community, local government and your state of origin to decree that the Operation Python Dancers will vanish and also take the sand to pray to God Almighty who sanctioned this project to actualise Biafra, and anybody who sabotages this struggle for Biafra will die a shameful death,” stated Powerful in his statement.
IPOB, it would be recalled, recently launched Operation David Dance in response to Nigeria Army’s earlier launch of Operation Python Dance in the South East. Meanwhile, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) and the Nigerian Army have described IPOB’s “Operation David Dance”, as “laughable” and “inconsequential.”
In separate reactions to the IPOB’s action, the DHQ and Army yesterday said they would not be distracted in the quest to protect lives and property. In his response to Saturday Telegraph’s enquiry, the Acting Director of Defence Information (DDI), Brig- Gen. Rabe Abubakar, said: “All citizens are enjoined to be law abiding, patriotic to contribute meaningfully to the development of their country.
“What we are doing is for the interest of the nation in general and south east in particular, so as to curtail the activities of individuals or groups hiding under (the) banner of freedom of speech to create atmosphere of insecurity in the land.
“Operation Python Dance will go on as a training initiative for our persons, and also as a platform to get rid of other security challenges such as kidnapping, armed robbery and other clandestine groups of criminals.
“We are not targeting anybody, but if we are targeted or there is insecurity then we will defend ourselves and protect innocent citizens and their property no matter the blackmail campaign of a few misguided elements and we are not competing with anybody or group.
“So, Operation David Dance is a hilarious, laughable entity and illegally coined to achieve their selfish interest.” On his part, the Acting Director, Army Public Relations (DAPR), Colonel Sani Usman, noted that: “It is inconsequential. Has no impact whatsoever on our Field Training Exercise. “We are not against anybody.”
