Whistle blowers to get N.5million in Kogi state

As part of Gov Yahaya Bello’s probity and accountability effort, the Kogi State government has introduced a whistle blowing Policy.

The policy promises N .5m reward to anyone that provides useful information that can lead to arrest of criminals, and people who spread false information and as well as those who disrupts public peace.
The Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor Mrs. Pentra Akinti Onyegbule disclosed the policy  in Lokoja in a press release issued on Sunday.

She said, the move is aimed at ensuring peace and security of lives and harmonious relationship among the people of kogi State.
Governor Yahay Bello administration is working hard to reduce crime and stem the attitude of persons who are sponsored to spread false information against the government with the purpose of bringing it to disrepute.
The statement added that any information received will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
