Biafra news: Radio Biafra to Start Operation in U.S This Sunday – IPOB
Radio Biafra will commence operations in the United States this Sunday, Leonard Anemene, a top member of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has said.

Anemene in a statement, said “logistic issues” prevented the station from starting operations in the United States.
He however did not specify the location where Radio Biafra will be operating from in America.
“On the 12th of January 2017, the leadership of IPOB in unison with the leader, deputy leader and the Directorate of State (DOS), decided to expand the broadcasting services of the Biafran struggle through the creation of a new broadcasting service in the Americas,” he said.
“So, a live broadcast of Radio Biafra International (RBi) from the Americas has been imminent for a very long time now but was delayed due to logistic bottlenecks.
“However, we are proud to announce to you all today, that we are going live on air on Sunday, the 19th of March, 2017 with a maiden broadcast, starting from 10.00 am Biafra time.”
It will be recalled that the Federal Government shut down Radio Biafra in July 2015 over what it described as inciting messages transmitted by the station.
Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB and director of the station currently standing trial before an Abuja Federal High Court for treason and other offences bordering on his agitation for the secession of the Republic of Biafra from Nigeria.
