Displaced Otodo Gbame dwellers storm Lagos High Court for hearing on their case against the state government

On Sunday, Otodo Gbame residents were forcefully evicted from their homes by policemen with guns and tear gas and afterwards their homes were razed.

Today, the women of Otodo Gbame, affected by the eviction, stormed the Lagos High court in Ikeja for the hearing of their case against the Lagos State government.

The women came out en masse, some of them with their children and occupied the floor of the courthouse to protest their forceful eviction and the loss of their homes. They accused the government of evicting them without giving prior notice or providing alternative accommodation.
