Nigeria will die if govt. continues to neglect Niger Delta region – Delta Cleric, Ajokparoghene

The Founder and General Overseer of Praise God Revival Ministry, Enerhen near Warri, Bishop Ajokparoghene Okijenu, today warned that Nigeria as a nation will die if the Federal Government continues to neglect the Niger Delta region.

The cleric handed down the warning in an exclusive chat with DAILY POST today.

Bishop Okijenu said,” If the Government neglects the Niger Delta region, Nigeria will die.”
Bishop Okijenu commended Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo for ruling the country well while he was on acting capacity as President for about two months.
Bishop Okijenu also stated that,” Osinbanjo is a man that can rule this country and make it stable. He knows the value of Niger Delta and he worked hard to resolve most of the problems. I have confidence on him.”
Bishop Okijenu calls for massive development of the Niger Delta region to save and boost the economy of the country, noting that the Niger Delta youths have stopped pipeline vandalism.

The Bishop said,” the government will make progress and generate more money from the area.”
Bishop Okijenu also called on the Federal Government to fulfill its promises of developing the Niger Delta to the people and watch the economy bounce back again.
“For the economy to boom, we need money because people are hungry, people are suffering and angry. Government should also improve electricity supply to the people so that sufferings and pains would be reduced.”
