A Muslim man has sparked controversy online after he was caught in public praying before a church banner.
The Muslim man praying before the banner
A trending photo of a Muslim man praying before a church banner has
sparked media buzz online. Many people wondered why he would be praying
before a church banner and considered it as inappropriate while some
others explained that the man was just observing his 'Solat' - the act
of praying in Islam.
Here are some views by people on the photos:
"They don't bow to any image, if he had removed it,you you
would have castigated him.His prayer was in his mind and focussed so the
banner meant nothing to him just like the cars and buildings around."
"We are Christians and Christ-like. Christianity is a peaceful
religion. If a Christian is found praying in front of a Muslim banner or
in front of the mart they spread on the floor while praying they will
call it a sacrilege."
"Please try to research more on Muslim act of prayer before
covering this type of story. What you saw that man doing is Salat which
means communication. His mind is with God not on the banner. He has
place his walking stick before the banner which means anything after it
is nothing"
