Anambra State Government in a bid to ensure that every civil servant participates in the upcoming gubernatorial election slated for November 18 has threatened to seize the August salaries of person who do not submit their votes card.
In a letter obtained by ORIENTAL TIMES, signed by the State’s Head of Service, Harry Udu, the state Government under Willie Obiano insisted that the restoration of any salary or resumption of payment will be based on presentation of valid voters card by the Public servants.
The letter ordered every Public servant of the state and government services including teachers and those in boards and parastatals to submit both the original and photocopy of their voters card to their respective permanent secretaries or Chief Executive of the MDA that pays them for sighting, endorsement and collation.
