Anambra
State Government in a bid to ensure that every civil servant
participates in the upcoming gubernatorial election slated for November
18 has threatened to seize the August salaries of person who do not
submit their votes card.
In a letter obtained by ORIENTAL TIMES,
signed by the State’s Head of Service, Harry Udu, the state Government
under Willie Obiano insisted that the restoration of any salary or
resumption of payment will be based on presentation of valid voters card
by the Public servants.
The letter
ordered every Public servant of the state and government services
including teachers and those in boards and parastatals to submit both
the original and photocopy of their voters card to their respective
permanent secretaries or Chief Executive of the MDA that pays them for
sighting, endorsement and collation.
