In
what has been described as ineptitude and a poor representation of the
district, a group of the constituents of Anambra South Senatorial
district, is rooting for the recall Andy Uba from Senate.
Senator Andy Ubah
Uchem Obi, a media aide to Senator Andy Uba, representing Anambra
South Senatorial district in the National Assembly, has described the
plot to recall his boss by some youth in the area as a nullity and a
waste of time.
According to a report by Punch newspaper, a youth group from the
district is rooting for the recall of Uba, accusing him of ineptitude
and a poor representation of the district. But the senator's aide on
Saturday, said his principle had not committed any offence to warrant
such extreme measure.
He described those masterminding the plot as a faceless and selfish
group of people, adding that the group was visionless and not motivated
by any desire for the common good but avarice and self-aggrandizement.
His statement said, “As we revealed when they first began their empty noise, they represent nothing but a fraud.
“They are constantly searching for an avenue to get close to
unsuspecting members, especially successful members of the political
class.
“We warned that they are an association of con-artistes, who
seek out desperate politicians who they market falsehood and
unattainable projects to."
He alleged that the group had made a U-turn and was now seeking an audience with Uba.
“Why are they secretly seeking an audience with Sen. Andy Uba
after making an empty noise that they were recalling him from the
Senate? What is stopping them from recalling the Senator?
“Do they want the Senator’s permission to recall him? The
Senator is focused on good representation and had never and does not
intend to be distracted.”
