We won’t repeat census boycott error — Obiano

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State yesterday replied the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) that say there will be no election in the state.
The pro-Biafra group had severally threatened that there would be no election in Anambra State and the entire South East zone.
Speaking during an inspection tour in Odume Obosi layout, in Idemili North Local Government Area, Obiano maintained that his government would not allow the mistake of boycotting the last census exercise to repeat itself.
“Whoever says there will be no election is not carrying the interest of the people at heart,” he said.
 “We are still suffering it (the census boycott) today because we were counted less than what we are,” he added.
He warned those planning to disrupt the election to have a rethink or be ready to face the full weight of the law.
“We are going to go after them; we will deal with those who said there would be no election in the state decisively,” he said.
