Speaking with newsmen, the civil war hero and chieftain of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, noted that restructuring Nigeria’s system of governance will benefit all sections of the country.
He said, “We are now at the end game; every Nigerian should understand this. I say it to members of my family and other people say it too. Nobody is benefiting; Nigeria is virtually bankrupt.
“It’s a situation that makes one cry and no real Nigerian can go out and boast that we are a great nation, that we are a good nation or that we are moving forward.
“And the only thing that can be done rationally now is to brake and reverse and find the true road to where we are going.”
But he also warned the military against truncating the smooth democracy, adding that it is not the best way for Nigeria at the moment.
“Let those who are in the military today not try warfare because a military solution in Nigeria is not possible now.”
