The pro-Buhari supporters at the rally in Abuja today
Nigerians
have reacted after some pro-Buhari supporters staged a rally in support of President Buhari who has been away from the country for over 90
days.
Some Nigerians under the aegis of of Coalition for Good Governance and Change Initiative have converged at the Unity Fountain, Abuja singing solidarity songs in support of the Nigerian government as the President continues his medical tourism abroad for over 90 days.
The group staged the solidarity rally after another group led by
Charly Boy Oputa yesterday convened in Abuja to demand the President to
either resume or resign. Oputa and some other Nigerians who came to
protest were attacked by the police who used teargas and water canon on them.
However, Nigerians have reacted following the protest held today by
another group supporting the government of Buhari. Many who reacted
called the protest a mockery and said the crowds must have been hired
considering the harsh economic condition of the country.
