Three
men were injured on Sunday morning inside Club Venom in Athens, Georgia
when one of the patrons opened fire with a handgun.
One
of the men was critically injured after being shot once in the chest.
He’s in critical condition and has been placed on a ventilator at a
local hospital. Another man’s shoulder was grazed by a bullet during the
shooting, but his injuries were said to not be life-threatening. A
third man was injured when he fell amid the mayhem caused by the
shooting and suffered cuts to his legs, according to police.
In
a video showing the moment before the commotion started, club goers
were seen having fun, singing, and dancing. Then all of a sudden, shots
were fired and people screamed and ran in different directions.
Epifanio
Rodriguez, spokesman for the Athens-Clarke County Police Department,
said he knew of no motive for the shooting and did not know if
