How Famous Singer, Dolores Was Found Dead Inside Hotel Bathroom By Cleaners

Reports have shown how the popular singing sensation, Dolores O'Riordan, was found dead inside a hotel room by the cleaners. 

Dolores O'Riordan, the popular Cranberries singer was found dead in a hotel bathroom, it has emerged.

 

Dolores, who was 46 years old, was discovered by cleaners at the Hilton in Park Lane, central London.

 

They had entered the Irish star's room believing it was empty, the Daily Mail reports.

 

She was pronounced dead at the scene on Monday morning.

 

Police had initially treated her death as "unexplained" but have since said it was "non-suspicious".

 

One Hilton worker told the Mail: "The people who found her said they found her in the toilet.

"I think it was the cleaners who had gone in there because there was no activity around the hallway or from the room."

 

It comes after an interview emerged where she revealed her wish to return as an angel after her death to help people.

 

Asked about reincarnation, she said: "I think I'll probably come back as an angel and I'd like to guide people or guard people going through similar experiences in life, whisper in their ear and kind of give them ideas on how to deal with things."

 

Dolores had been in London to record a cover of The Cranberries' hit single Zombie with rock band Bad Wolves.

 

Her niece Elaine O'Riordan told of the family's "shock and sadness" at her sudden death.

 

She wrote: "Words can’t describe the shock and sadness, we are all feeling.

"Watch over Dad, Nana and all your brothers and sisters and kids. It’s going to be a very tough road ahead at your loss, we all love you xxx.

"I’m sure you and granddad will have a great time up in heaven together.

"Until we meet again xxx. Only one Auntie Lolo, you will be sorely missed.

"Rest in Peace. Love you xxx Still doesn’t feel real xoxoxo."

 

Dolores and her band The Cranberries had risen from obscurity in rural Limerick to touring the world on the back of 22million record sales.

 

But they would never finish the 117-date run.

 

It was 1996 and, in her own words, Dolores was “a basket-case”.

 

Suffering with anorexia and weighing just six-and-a-half stone, the fragile singer would wake up in hotel rooms “screaming, crying, having nightmares about being hurt”.

 

She spoke of wanting to “make myself disappear” and in 2014 said: “I am not going to live that long.

"If I see 50, I’ll be happy. I mean that.”
