EFCC deletes tweet where it threatened to prosecute Governor Fayose for N1.3billion poultry project fraud

A few hours after Governor Fayose's party lost the Ekiti State election to APC, Nigeria's anti-graft body tweeted that it has re-opened investigations into a fraudulent project in the state.

'The parri is over; The cloak of immunity torn apart, and the staff broken. Ekiti Integrated Poultry Project/Biological Concepts Limited N1.3bn fraud case file dusted off the shelves. See you soon' EFCC wrote.

Nigerians on social media reacted instantly to the tweet, and EFCC immediately deleted it.

So if Fayose’s candidate had won the election, EFCC is telling us that they won’t have done their job?
