President Buhari presenting the 2019 budget
The spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kola
Ologbondiyan, has said that by booing President Muhammadu Buhari,
lawmakers have shown that they have no confidence in the president.
Recall that TORI News had reported earlier today that during the presentation of the 2019 budget, some aggrieved lawmakers disrupted the president’s speech, disputing his claims by chanting “Propaganda! Lies”.
Speaking while reacting to the development, Ologbondiyan said the
action of the lawmakers signals that Buhari had lost his popularity,
adding that the president came into office with a “huge goodwill” but
that he had frittered all.
Ologbondiyan who took to his Twitter page to taunt the president,
said Nigerians have decided against “incompetence, arrogance, hunger,
starvation and insecurity”.
He wrote: “Did you watch @MBuhari budget presentation? The
legislators action serves as vote of no confidence @MBuhari came into
office with huge goodwill but frittered all. Today, Nigerians have
delivered their verdict against incompetence, arrogance, hunger,
starvation and insecurity!.”
