Massive leatherback sea turtle caught in Bayelsa state

Fishermen in Foropa Community, Bayelsa State, were shocked when they caught a massive leatherback sea turtle while fishing.

It is not known what was done with the animal after it was caught last Friday, January 17, but people expressed fears that it might be killed and eaten by members of the community.

Back in February 2019, a dolphin was caught in the same community.
