As part of measures to curtail the spread
of the coronavirus pandemic now ravaging the world, the Lagos State
government has banned religious meetings in which more than 50 people
will participate.
The order was contained in a communiqué issued after a 2-hour meeting with religious leaders at Alausa, Ikeja today.
The governor said the ban will last for
four weeks, although there has not been any indication of whether the
order takes effect immediately.
Details later.
