10,000 ISWAP terrorists surrender in Adamawa State to Nigerian troops

The Defence Headquarters says is recent onslaught against the Boko Haram Terrorists groups and other terrorists aligned to the Islamic State of West Africa is already yielding results

The Coordinator of the Defence Media Directorate Major General John Enenche spoke to newsmen in Abuja saying over ten terrorist elements recently surrendered to troops in Adamawa state following renewed offensive against the group.

General Enenche urged other terrorists to drop their weapons in their own interest saying the federal Government’s Operation safe corridor program which gives them a window of opportunity to surrender is still ongoing

He says almost three hundred fighters that surrendered in the past have been successfully de-radicalized and integrated back into the society.
