Mavin Records clocks 8 years; throwback picture of Don Jazzy and His Crew Members

Nigerian lead producer, Michael Collins better known as Don Jazzy shared a throwback photo of himself, JJC Skillz and others.

Only JJC Skillz was easily recognised in the photo.

Jazzy captioned the photo, “Throwback Thursday. The days that formed us. 💪🏾 Tag who you see.”

This, brought Nigeria Newspaper attention to the fact that May 8, 2020 makes it 8 years when Don Jazzy started Mavin Records and he has achieved so much.

Don Jazzy started Mavin Records on May 8, 2012 after he co-founded the now defunct record label Mo’ Hits Records in 2004.

Mavin Records has become an household name in the country and one of the top record labels with a large market and huge financial back up.

The label also boast of some of the star artistes in the country like Tiwa Savage, Dija, Johnny Drille, Korede Bello, Crayon, Reekado Banks, Rema among others, although some of them have left following the expiry of their contracts.

Other labels that come close to having star artistes in this style are Olamide’s YBNL and Davido’s DMW.
