After Adaobi had exclaimed chukwuemeka’s name the soldier who stood close to the commander made an attempt to strike Ada with her bow but the commander stopped her. EKE the female soldier was very fierce looking and wicked soldier, always loved to shed blood and she had so many battle scars.

“Who is chukwuemeka? The commander asked Ada in a voice dissimilar to the voice of the Emeka Adaobi had known.

Ada was frightened and confused, she didn’t stop to stare at the commander for she began to notice so much differences. Many thoughts began to run through her MIND that she thought she’s completely nuts.

The commander asked her again and this time in a more coarse manner, “Who is Chukwuemeka”?
“I, I, I…I don’t..but…but..but we …but wee…” Ada began to stammer. She was overwhelmed in fear and confusion.

The commander leaned to his second and whispers to her “The king might still be alive, she just mentioned his full name and that was not a mistake.

He turned to Adaobi and asked her for the last time in a calm voice; “Do you know his majesty? Is he still alive? Where is he? Answer me young woman? This Chukwuemeka you are talking about, does he look like me?
Ada woke up in a hut with soldiers on guard, they signaled Emeka that Ada had woken up. Ada started weeping bitterly but emeka would not interrupt or utter a word, he kept his calm and waited for ada to calm down.

WHO ARE YOU??? Adobe asked Emeka curiously…”My love’ said emeka as he gazed into ada’s eyes ” I swear to you, I wont hide anything from you again”

Emeka told Ada a lot about himself, “My full names are UWAZURUMOKE NWAEZE CHUKWUEMEKA, the crowned king of UMUGO kingdom.

Amigo was a great kingdom, the greatest of all the kingdoms in Eastern Nigeria as at the time all these took place, their land was fertile and they were highly productive in agriculture. Amigo was blessed with so many natural resources like gold and silver, they were the richest kingdom and a glory to behold.

Umugo’s army had no match, they had the best weapons, the strongest and the most skillful soldiers and no kingdom challenged them.

Emeka continued “I became the king after my father EZEMGBURUMGBURU one of UMUGO KINGDOM passed away. My kinsmen insisted that I must marry and have a queen to give me a son that would succeed me. I never liked all the Princesses the elders presented to me, so I decided to set out on an adventure to find true love”

I disguised myself and I took a guard ONUOWU with me, he always stayed at arms length and was to report to my kingdom in case anything happened.

My soldiers briefed me that, ONUOWU returned to my kingdom and informed them that their king has been sentenced to death by the queen of this kingdom. This was treason of the highest order. My kingdom decided to wage war against UMUAHIA. It was a mission to kill all men born of this land and capture the women…

It’s quite unfortunate, I never knew about all these I would have stopped them, Ada you know I would never do anything to hurt you. Your mother is alive and safe…

When ada heard about her mother she was delighted…Where is my mum she asked? Can I see her now?
“Yes my queen” Emeka replied. 


Ada was taken to the hut where her mother was tied up, she cut the rope with a knife and set EZENWANYI free. Ada had to support her mother who was too weak to walk, and they walked away.

She went to Emeka and asked him “where do u want us to go? Your soldiers have destroyed our village???

Emeka answered Adaobi saying “come with me ada, come with me to my kingdom for you are all that I seek. Only you can make my life complete, you are my missing rib. Give me a chance to love you, give me a chance to treat you like a queen that you are. I vow that your people shall be my people”

Emeka paused awhile and then continued…

Ada would you be my queen??? He asked…Adaobi didn’t let him finish what he was saying she hugged Emeka and said to him “I love you Emeka and I wish to spend the rest of my life with you. Yes I would be your queen”. EMEKA was so happy to hear this, he hugged and kissed Ada passionately.

EZENWANYI was very weak, ADAOBI laid her in one of the war boats Umugo soldiers came with.
The king instructed some soldiers to stay behind. This was to create room for the women of UMUAHIA, for they were many.
The king and the soldiers accompanied the women to Umugo kingdom.
They arrived Umugo safely. But it took several weeks for the women to settle down. Amigo was all that Ada ever dreamt of.

The kingdom was more of a Paradise, with a lot of beautiful gardens. ADAOBI made a new friend MMA the beautiful parrot. It was Emeka’s parrot. She have never seen a parrot before, she liked the parrot so much and would always play with MMA. Chisom would always visit Ada, she too loved MMA the parrot and they always had a nice time together.
They always played in Emeka’s beautiful garden fishing. Dike loved this game so much!
The royal family lived in love and happiness for the rest of their lives.
