BREAKING: Niger Delta Avengers Blow Up Another NNPC Pipeline In Delta [TWEETS]

The new militant group operating in Nigeria’s oil-rich region, Niger Delta Avengers has blown up a large gas and crude pipeline operated by NNPC near Warri in Delta State, reports from the area say.

The militant group claimed responsibility for the attack on it Twitter handle, and according to the group, it happened at at 11.45 pm on Thursday, May 26, 2016.

The Delta Avengers, who are demanding a free Niger Delta Republic also condemned the Niger Delta Stakeholders meeting held by some persons from the region with Nigerian government as an “insult” and insists that it demands sovereignty for the troubled region.

 The group has tweeted about “something big about to happen” about four hours ago.
