Members of Independent Petroleum
Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) and Delta State Task Force on
Illegality Monitoring on Monday clashed in Udu Local Government Area of
Delta State
The fierce fight between the monitoring team under the Office of the Executive Assistant
the Governor on Security Matters and IPMAN would have resulted in a calamity but for the immediate intervention of the Police.
The incident took place when the IPMAN
members resisted an attempt by the Task Force to force them to dispense
fuel at Government regulated price of N86.50k questioning the
authenticity of the Task Force.
THIS DAY learnt that the Divisional
Police Office of Aladja Division, CSP Jonathan Acha; and the Executive
Assistance to the Governor on Security, Amb. Godwin Okporoko were called
to wade into the matter to resolve the issue.
