The Niger Delta
Avengers has claimed responsibility for attacks on two of oil
installations in Bayelsa State. According to the emerging militant
group, the attacks occurred around 2am on Thursday, June 2, 2016.
The Niger Delta Avengers used its
Twitter account to say that this latest attack is part of its aim of
reducing Nigeria’s oil production to zero.
“At about 2:00am today, @NDAvengers
blew up the Ogboinbiri to Tebidaba and Clough Creek to Tebidaba Crude
Oil pipelines in Bayelsa State.” the militant group disclosed.
“This is inline with our promise to all
international oil companies and indigenous oil companies that Nigeria
oil production will be zero,” the group tweeted.
