Coronavirus Lockdown: Lagos Lists Businesses Banned From Operating Till Further Notice

The government of Lagos State, led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, says some offices and businesses would remain closed despite the gradual easing of the COVID-19 lockdown ease in the state which begins from Monday, May 4, 2020.
The Lagos State Governor said: “It is a gradual and controlled easing of the lockdown. We will continue to monitor the public health situation; the economic impact of the lockdown and always adjust our responses accordingly.
This online news platform understands that the Lagos State Governor had also added that the new guidelines would be reviewed by May 31st, 2020.

Below is the list of businesses in Lagos that have been banned from operations include…
1. Entertainment centres (event centres, cinemas, arcades, bars, casinos, day clubs, nightclubs, beaches, viewing centres, swimming pools, gyms and all recreation and relaxation centres);
2. Salons and beauty parlours (Beauty salons, Spas, barbershops, and public parks);
3. Beer parlours;
4. Motorcycles (those used for courier and logistics purposes are exempted);
5. All public and private schools from primary level to tertiary education.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari approved the conditional and phased relaxation of the lockdown imposed on Lagos, Ogun and Abuja, Nigeria’s capital due to the coronavirus outbreak in Nigeria during a national broadcast on Monday.
